In the last couple of blogs I have been talking about articles and the political debate, but we're do I get my information about the world? (Who am I asking to answer this question, how would you know what I read or watch?) Well I mainly get my information about the world from school (I know it's unoriginal but is true, I do tend to get all my political information from school and I watch the news or look at the news online. Because it's school this source tends to show multiple perspectives on a topic, but sometimes personal bias can slips in. I notice this in scenarios we evaluate in humanity's class were most of the protagonists in the scenarios tend to be female, though I don't have a problem with this I do notice it. Though a bias like that has no affect on most topics it does make me wonder what other biases teachers subconsciously include in class work. It is also interesting to think about how teachers tend to have similar likes political views like explained in the book the Great Sort were we move ourselves to areas with similar views to our own.
